Native guard at gate

Flew 2 hours north to Zimbabwe today, where we were picked up and taken to our lodge called Lokothula. There were no cars on the road, people walked on the side, only buses and taxi's. Our lodge was cool, it had a thatched roof, and the walls in the living room were canvas and rolled up to the patio, where the table was. A family of warthogs walked right by us. I saw a deer jumping in the trees behind. It was amazing. We went down to the hotel , and checked out the place. The Salmons were not coming till the next day, so we planned what to do. That night we ate at The Boma - the place of Eating - at our resort. It was big lodge open in the center, with a bbq roasting a lamb in the middle. I ate impala, warthog, ostrich . They had mopani worms(grubs) that if you ate them, you got a certificate. They looked gross. African dancers came, and I got my face painted like a warrior, and danced with them. It was a fun day.
