Watching our penguins

Me and Dad at the Cave in Boulders Beach

Playing on the rocks

We went over to Boulders 1st beach where we got to swim with the penguins in the Indian Ocean. It was really neat.

At the penguin sanctuary

They swim to get their food, and cool off

We travelled down the cape, and came to Boulders Beach. The African Penguin lives only here. It was breeding season, and they were building nests, laying eggs, and nesting on them.

At Houts Bay, in the Indian Ocean

Lunch on the Cape Coast

These are real fish and chips..with the tails on

Cable Car ride up the mountain

The animals and flowers on the mountain were great

Dad, Mom and me. The waves crashing on Robben Island behind us.

Today we were to take the ferry to Robben Island, but there were huge waves and they cancelled the trip. It was the 20th anniversary of Nelson Mandella's release from Robben Island, and we had been looking forward to the trip. We then went up Table Mountain, a flat mountain that is often covered with clouds.(1087m) We took a cable car up to the top in 2 minutes. There are lots of flowers, insects and lizards there. We walked around the top and could see the Atlantic Ocean, False Bay, Cape of Good Hope, the Indian Ocean, and Robben Island.

We traveled down the Cape Point to Houts Bay, where we had lunch and went in the Indian Ocean. Then to Boulder Beach, where we watched the Penguins, and then went over to the beach to swim with them. It was so neat. They were so cool. Down around Cape of Good Hope and back up to Capetown. Went to the Waterfront for dinner, and then to the Sea Rescue office, where Johnni used to work. They let us go on a boat and see the equiptment they use. We were tired, but had such a great day...
